    The Perrspectives Reading List

The list below provides some recommended reading about issues of politics, policy, security, culture and society. As you'll see, these are not uniformly center-left in viewpoint; each hopefully presents compelling arguments, data, or history that all of us need to take into account.

    Today's Mantra

"I love to bash the media all the time."

John McCain, on October 2, 2008.

    Return to Middle Ages Likely
Media fawning over Sarah Palin and barrage of lies and distortions produced by his campaign put John McCain in front in race for the White House. Threat level raised from Orange/High (Church and State to Merge).

    The Avenging Angel

George Allen, the disgraced former Senator from Virginia, returned to the stage only to earn further disgrace.

The man whose 2006 election imploded over MacacaGate now tells us that "Americans are not addicted to oil," but instead to "freedom."

Given all the free time he now has, the Angel grins, Allen must be higher than a kite.
